Small and rare wine carafe in a subtle yellow-green with an antique-style applied seal, designed by Jacob E. Bang in 1964 for Kastrup Glas as part of the 'Antikgrøn' / 'Antique Green' series, one of the last designed by Bang before he passed away the following year, and also one of the final major art glass series produced by Kastrup before it merged with Holmegaard shortly after.
The seal on the front of the carafe depicts a stylised man bearing two large goblets, surrounded by the Latin motto 'Ergo Bibamus' ('Therefore We Drink').
It seems that production of this form did not continue after the 1965 merger, and so was only produced for one year.
